God's Plan

"For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope."
--Jeremiah 29:11

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
-- Psalm 32:8a

----God Loves You and Created You
to Know Him Personally----
"For God so loved the world, that He have His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal live."
--John 3:16

----We are Separated from God by Sin.----
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." --Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
--Romans 6:23

----The Death of Jesus Christ in Our Place is God's Only Provision for Man's Sin.----
"He (Jesus Christ) was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification." --Romans 4:25

----We Must Personally Receive Jesus Christ
as Savior and Lord.----
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name." --John 1:12

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast." --Ephesians 2:8-9

How do we accept Jesus's free gift of salvation?
Jesus said, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him..." ---Revelation 3:20

And the Bible says,... "if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." ---Romans 10:9-10

And Jesus says,... "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." --- Matthew 11:28-30

---- The Bible says that you must repent...
that is, turn from your sin ----
"Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." --- Acts 2:38

"Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;" --- Acts 3:19

If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then the following prayer is a beginning point.

"Father God, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray," .

Amen.

This prayer is not an magic formula that results in salvation merely by its saying aloud but rather requires a heart change in a person. Salvation is a "heart" decision, as well as a mental decision.
